Our Story

Bridging Two Worlds,
One Truth at a Time

Trusted journalism for the Indian diaspora across the Gulf and beyond - from reporters who have lived, worked, and reported from the same streets you call home.

A newsroom built from the Gulf up

Gulf India Live was born out of a simple but powerful conviction: the millions of Indians living and working across the Gulf deserve journalism that truly understands their lives. Not news written from a distance, but stories told by journalists who have walked the same corridors of hospitals in Riyadh, construction sites in Dubai, and trading floors in Kuwait City.

Our team is a collective of experienced journalists, editors, and correspondents who have reported from across the Gulf states — the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain and Oman — as well as from cities and towns across India, and from expatriate communities in Europe, North America, and Southeast Asia.

"We don't just cover the news that affects expatriate Indians — we are part of that community ourselves. That is what makes Gulf India Live different."

Together, we bring decades of on-the-ground reporting experience to every story we publish. Whether it is a change in UAE visa policy, a business opportunity in the Gulf, a political development back home in India, or a community achievement worth celebrating — we cover it with depth, accuracy, and the perspective that only proximity can give.

Inform, update, and empower

Our primary mission is to keep the Indian expatriate community informed, updated, and empowered wherever they are in the world. We believe that an informed community is a stronger community — one better equipped to navigate life abroad, protect its rights, seize opportunities, and stay connected to its roots.

We cover the stories that matter most to Indians living away from home: visa rules and residency regulations, employment rights and labour laws, business and trade developments, health and wellness, cultural life, embassy and consulate services, and the achievements of Indians making a mark on the world stage.

Equally, we keep our readers connected to India — covering national politics, economic policy, social developments, and the stories from home that resonate most deeply with those who are far away.

What we stand for

Accuracy first. Every story we publish is verified before it goes live. We correct errors promptly and transparently. Our readers trust us because we take that trust seriously.

Independence. Gulf India Live is editorially independent. We are not owned by any government, political party, or corporate interest. Our journalism is guided solely by the public interest of the communities we serve.

Community voice. We believe journalism is a conversation, not a monologue. We actively encourage our readers to share their stories, experiences, and perspectives. Many of our best pieces begin with a tip, a letter, or a question from someone in our community.

Respect for all. The Indian diaspora in the Gulf is extraordinarily diverse — in language, religion, culture, and profession. We report with respect for that diversity, ensuring every section of the community feels seen and heard in our pages.
